How to Use the Sponge Tool in Photoshop

The sponge tool is an amazing but not a well known tool that is incredibly useful. It allows you to chose a brush to desaturate or saturate a certain area on a picture. for those of you who do not known desaturate is to take color away and to saturate is to add more color or brighten a picture.
Steps

1Open photoshop and the photo that you would like to edit.

2Go to the burn or dodge tool on the toolbar.

3Right click and select the sponge tool.

4Choose your brush in on the toolbar were you usually change brushes.

5Select saturate or desaturate and adjust the exposure.

6Draw over any of the areas that you want to be adjusted.

7You're done! Now go and add more color or take away color to your hearts desire!
Tips
- Don't go too crazy with the exposure too little and you will never get a change and too much and you will cause too much change!
- Make sure to not just click the spot you want to desaturate or saturate, you may need to click more until you notice more change.
